How to actually HARD END a meeting?

Is there a way to actually HARD END a meeting, rendering it only accessible by the organizer?

The access links sent even to external participants seem to be active FOREVER. This is a major security concern!

Thanks for any help

  • mhenriques Hello, this very requested feature is currently not possible. To work around it this will be released very soon though! Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365

End meeting means End meeting – Microsoft Teams UserVoice

You could also prevent automatic re-join with the lobby settings (per meeting or with Teams policy) but the meeting chat will still be there though once they joined. Using this they will be stuck in the lobby as not all are permitted to join automatically.

ChristianBergstrom Hello - does it apply also to the external participants invited via outlook "New Teams Meeting" option? In other words, will all external participants have their meeting access blocked?

      Thanks

Yes, at least to my knowledge and by reading this.

”People added to a meeting via a meeting link and were not added to the original meeting invite will no longer have access”.

When it’s released. Send the meeting link (not invite) to the ones you don’t want to have access anymore.
