Hi Toby958, I'm not a SharePoint guy but a short google search gave me this link:
How to connect a SharePoint Site to an Office 365 Group - SharePoint Maven

And when you linked the SharePoint site to an Office 365, you can create a new Team based on an existing Office 365 group.
