Existing teams channels to a new Team

Hi,

New to teams and thank you in advance for helping me understand the product. 

I am trying to help my organization clean up the teams application. We have a few existing teams and we really didn't plan out the structure for our teams initially.

Now, as we explore more options and understand how robust the application is. I was wondering what would be the best way to clean up the application.

We have a few existing teams and channels. We are planning on getting some new org wide teams set up and maybe move the existing channels to these new teams. Is that a possibility and if it is what is the best way to go about this.
