Download all files and conversations when project complete

Hi

We are using Teams for a large project - multiple Teams, Channels and users, both internal and external (Client).

When the project is finished we want to be able to download and store offline the entire project record.

I can see I can download the Files from Sharepoint (although am nervous of the zipfile size, we have some large files) but unsure about the COnversations (and links to files/folders).

Any advice appreciated, at the very least whether it will be possible down the track.

    Why not just archive the Team and/or use retention on the office 365 group instead?

    There isn’t really an easy method of just exporting conversations! A copy of them is stored in the exchange group mailbox for compliance reasons and you can get them by doing a content search for example but it’s not really that intuitive

      Thanks, archiving would work for us internally, but our client is a separate organisation, they are accessing the Teams as Guests, but ultimately when the project is complete (civil engineering design of waste management facilities) and our contract comes to an end, they also need access to copy of everything.
