Disable teams (group) chat - Is this possible

Good question Chris.

They have asked me to trial Teams and Google Classroom. They would like teams to be used like Classroom for the classroom so I assume just setting assignments and marking etc.

Google classroom you can turn off all chat so I’m surprised teams is setup like this.

You can turn off chat, but you can't turn off Team conversations.

  I am in school as well. I am trying to stop the students from creating their own teams where they are using at as a social forum.Joko__
