Deleted meeting not recognized by Teams

Before a meeting on my calendar starts, I find that I cannot make it and delete it from my calendar.

 

Teams continues to show my status (RED) "In a meeting" during the canceled meeting time.

 

Is this something I have control over, or is this a Teams bug?

    Hi Paul5678 If you have deleted the meeting from your calendar, the status should not show busy.  It's easy enough to manually change it to whatever status you want.  Thanks for reporting it.

      In addition, when leaving a Teams meeting before the scheduled end time, status should probably revert to its previous state.

      I agree that Teams should not show busy if the meeting is deleted. Teams does show busy when the meeting is deleted. Is this case in the Teams regression test set?
