Chat Notifications need Pop Out Buttons

I was just wondering, would it be that hard to add an option to pop out the chat instead of having to go all the way to the Chats section and replying to have a conversation, and then having to go back to whatever work you were doing, which could mean a lot of time lost. Having all chats popped out at the beginning isn't really the best thing, but I find myself adding more and more chats as the day goes by. PLease tell me I'm not the only one who would like a feature like this.
