Cannot edit word documents on Microsoft Teams

Hi, it seems we cannot edit Word documents in Teams anymore. I read in other conversations it has something to do with the School licenses but mine is Office 365 Business Premium. My colleagues are also experiencing the same issue. Last week, we were able to edit the same Word documents using Teams, now we can only edit using SharePoint.

It would be more convenient to just edit in Teams. May I know if there's a solution for this?

    We are also experience the same issue in O365 Enterprise. We are not able to edit Word in Teams.

      I got this answer from Microsoft
      "This change is for EDU tenants, not for specific Teams licenses. As your organization is marked as EDU, all users will lose the ability to edit documents directly in Teams and will have to open the documents in Office Online or the Office Desktop applications. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes."

      So this applies to all our users, not only the ones with EDU-licence.
