Can a Meeting Co-organiser add additional co-organisers to a meeting
Hi
We have a scenario where the meeting organiser has gone on long term sick. The meeting has a co-organiser but she wants to set up additional co-organisers. Whilst it looks like it is set up in meeting options, the co-organiser functionality is not enabled for the allocated individuals.
Can a meeting co-organiser allocate the co-organiser role or is that just something the meeting organiser can do?
Hi SarahLilley,
you can find a role description of the Co-Organizer in the official Microsoft documentation:
Roles in a Teams meeting - Microsoft Support
Here you can find the more general information that a co-organizer can change the role of a user.
To clarify it for myself as well, I've setup a meeting in my lab environment and added a user as co-organizer to the meeting. The co-organizer can add new co-organizer in my tests. The only restriction is that the user must be invited to the meeting by the organizer first and directly.
When you as a co-organizer forward the meeting to another user, you cannot add them as co-organizer.
Best regards,
Thorsten

Thorsten Pickhan Thank you for your reply, in particular the findings from your test. I am hoping that might be the reason why this is not working as anticipated.
