My license is corporate and in microsoft edge or any other browser the behavior is the same.
It's a regular O365 one. Might be a new change that's rolling out and still hasn't hit my tenant, who knows. You can always open a support request to request clarification, or post an item over at the Feedback portal to bring back the older behavior (which is obviously much more useful).
