Blur camera background option changed for the worst

Hey... 
I don't know why, but on my PC, trying to display the camera background options/images takes more than 4 or 5 minutes to actually display..  It's always been like that, don't know why, and I deinstalled/re-installed teams a lot of time with no luck fixing it.. 
this wasn't much of an issue, as "Blur my background" was a separate option that I could very easily enable separately.. 
Unfortunately, last week, a change has been made, and the blur effect is now part of the background fx list that takes minutes to display... And in most meetings, I now can't activate the camera anymore because of that !

Is there a way to either fix that long wait, or to force the blur ALL THE TIME, or to get back the previous menu ?

    Fennec Why does your list of backgrounds take minutes to display? The only reason I can think is that you have lots of custom images which are far too large, try deleting them from %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds

      StevenC365 i have no custom image at all.. that directory is empty..

       as i said, I’ve cleaned up teams, uninstalled  .. manually purged all teams-related directories 

      reinstalled.. always the same thing..

       

       this wasn’t a big deal when the blur option was separate, but now it is very problematic

      i have no idea why they changed this, it was so much better before
