Audio quality very poor - August 2024
Anyone else expereincing very ppor audio quality on Teams calls recently?
My experience is
- no problem connecting to calls - with both video and audio and screensharing
- randomly and on all participant - audio periodically cuts out go 1-5 seconds
- happens on all Teams meetings over last couple of weeks
........so it sounds like a Microsoft issue
Any and all solutions very welcome

iancphillips Are you talking about Teams Phone calls (external), Teams video calls (internal and external) and/or Teams Meetings?
Are you a Teams Admin? If you are, I would start by looking at a specific users problem call.
From the Teams Admin portal go to Users-Manage Users and select the specific user. Once in their profile click Meetings and Calls.
Look under past Meetings and click one of their calls. If there was an audio issue it should show up in that reporting.
If it is more global issue, go to Analytics and Reports-Call Quality Dashboard. There is a lot of information in this report and it is best to review the Microsoft documentation.

I am freelance consultant with an Office 365 subscription - so not an Admin
The problem is primarilty on Teams meetings that I participate in - both as organiser and as participant. Dont make many audio / video calls but the issue also arose on them
I did find the "Call Quality Dashboard" - which reported no problems
I completed an end-of-call quality report after one especially bad call last Friday - and today have had completely trouble free calls ................. so I am wonderoing if Microsoft got enough feedback to investigate / quietly resolve some issue ?
