Allowing bots to see events in private channels without being mentioned

Now that we've got private channels, is there any plan to allow bots to see events in private channels without having to be mentioned? Bots on platforms like Slack or Discord can be much more powerful because they have the ability to passively sit in conversations and react to certain events. Can we expect to ever have this in Teams?
