Account deleted, but still able to chat
I am experiencing an issue with Teams chat, regarding user deletions.
Specifically,
in the case where a user account has been deleted via admin.microsoft.com, but other users have already chatted with them, they can keep messaging them even if the account is deleted.
Is there a way to prevent that?

- Same issue here. The accepted answer does not help. Users can still send chat messages to disabled and deleted user accounts. Those users can't login and won't see the message but the person sending the message has no idea the user account was deleted. If you clear Teams cache then the account may show up in Teams as Unknown but current users can still send them messages which wastes their time. Sending them messages should be blocked or there should be a status message saying the account is no longer active.
