Microsoft Forms Quiz Math Format

For some reason, I do not have a "switch to text" option for answer choices within a Quiz using the Math question format.  Also, I have a "Switch to LaTex" option at the bottom of my Math symbols that no one in my office has.  I am unable to create math symbols such as fractions and then write words with spaces after them for answer choices.  For example, "1/4 inches of snow", looks like "1/4inchesxofxsnow". How do I get the "Switch to Text" option back on my answer choices and the "Switch to LaTex" symbols off?
