Forms no longer available. No changes have been made
HiDingkunXie
I think I know why the Form is no longer available??
The person who created the Form (Owner) is no longer working at the organisation and his account has been deleted from AD..
I've sent a reminder out to departments to ensure they move Forms to a Teams channel to ensure continuation of the Form if owners leave..

I'm suggesting that Forms are added to a Teams Channel where Owners can be added and removed easier.
Would this assist if the creator (Owner) left the company. We have over 3000 employees around 150 of these can create MS Forms so providing a service account to enable all of them to create a MS Form is a big ask.
Would moving them to a Teams channel allow Forms and data to be access if owner leaves???
As the account has been deleted I can't transfer ownership to another user

Yes, that would change the owner of the forms to the Teams group, so the data will be kept and there will be no impact if the original owner leaves.- Chris_Clark1968Dec 05, 2023Brass Contributor
Hi DingkunXie
Thank you for confirming this.
Just one other thing?? To transfer ownership of a Form which hasn't been moved to a Teams channel and the 'owner' as left, I know there is some site that can be reached to change owner but you require Global Admin, looking at some blogs, comments
Why can't this be achieved by the system admin or can it???

Unfortunately, only the Global Admin has permission to do so, as that is how it has been implemented. You can share your ask in this channel: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/0ab9de26-ff1b-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472, the Product Team will hear your feedback.
