Removing an event from Desktop Outlook does not free the time in Bookings (even a day later)
If a user adds an event to their calendar in Desktop Outlook, as expected, that quickly (within a few seconds, maybe instantly) appears as unavailable in Bookings, so the calendars are syncing. Howev...

I'm having the same issue. I had an appointment in my Outlook calendar which blocked my availability in Bookings. I suspect the Outlook event was changed, but my availability in Bookings is still blocked, and I can't free up this time for new bookings. Bookings is now showing the original event as "busy" in addition to the new time also busy.
I was hoping for a way to force-sync Booking and my Outlook.
