Disable auto-scroll in calendar view
Can you disable autoscroll in calendar view?
What a horrible feature. Every time the mouse cursor is near the top or bottom of the page, it auto-scrolls all the way up or all the way down. It seems to only happen when selecting a calendar item, and if you have "view-only" access to the calendar, you cannot click in the empty space of the calendar to unselect items because you cannot create new items, so auto-scroll is always active.
What other Microsoft application has auto-scroll like this? If it can't be a toggled option, it should just be removed entirely.

Please either 1) remove this feature or 2) make this feature optional, and off by default.
- GxraldCopper ContributorHappened today suddenly. Almost impossible to escape because it happens also when I first move the cursor left to the monthly mini calendar before going up.
I think it's a bug because after switching to month view then again to week view (as I've read in this thread) it seems OK. Fingers crossed ! - Tyler_009Copper ContributorPlease fix this Microsoft, if at the very least, make it an option that can be toggled off.

- AnonyMouse22Copper Contributor"What a horrible feature." I AGREE. This happened to me months ago and just went away for some reason. Now it's back, I can't find a setting to turn it off. I came here hoping it's been answered and it hasn't. It is so inconvenient and I don't know what use I could get out of this honestly. If someone from Microsoft could pleeeease help us out with a fix. Please. Thanks in advance.
- halllaurCopper ContributorDid you attempt MDwyer645's temp solution?

dan-kristsensen agree an annoying feature that I want to be able to turn off!

dan-kristsensen this is a feature?! the past few weeks I'd just assumed there was something wrong with my trackpad or a bug in my browser window
and there's no way to turn this off? truly terrible..
- R-G_J-909Copper ContributorThis bug should be fixed immediately, however the strange fact is I cannot reproduce the bug/feature on my machine, however my wife does experience this bug.. so what is the difference? Both the latest version of chrome, difference is only to different business accounts, but that should effect the UI I guess?
If anyone has a same experience, or can pinpoint when the bug appears and when not (ok, when you click on the month-view, thanks MDwyer645 🙂 ) that could be handy for people who need to fix it.- TonyWhite1945Copper Contributor
After doing some digging, it appears that Microsoft already rolled back this feature, but everyone has the old version cached still. People are reporting the fix is to force refresh your calendar web view; happy to say, this has worked for me.
PCs: Shift-F5
Macs: Cmd-Shift-R
- dan-kristsensenBrass ContributorUnfortunately, both resolutions people have posted (click month view then back again, or force refresh with Shift+F5) only work for me until I click into a calendar item, then the issue returns. It occurs on both Edge and Chrome, latest versions.

dan-kristsensen I don't have a solution, but want to weigh in my disgust at this feature. There's so many use cases where I put my mouse near the edge-limit where it now auto-scrolls, with zero intention of scrolling my calendar. This is one of the worst features I've ever seen Microsoft come out with, in terms of being completely detached from the needs and behaviors of their end users.
I hope and insist a disable toggle is provided very soon.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this behaviour is broken!
Has anyone got a fix for this?
- JeromePaulCopper ContributorActually I wouldn't call it a fix but changing to the 'month' view and then back again seems to have resolved the problem for me...

JeromePaul That worked. I'm clinging onto the old version of Outlook for email because the updated version is the WORST. Somehow they managed to make Outlook worse. A feat hereunto known to man.
