Word: 'Give all nouns that appear >X times' not working as expected

Hi!

When using Copilot in Word, I tried several iterations of the question 'Give me all nouns that appear over 6 times. Provide your information in a table and include the number of times the noun occurred'.

Copilot provided a nice table, but it was not complete by far. The document was under 7500 words so that should not have been the issue.

What prompt should I use to achieve my goal? Anyone any idea?

I want to put repeating input fields in the document and wanted to see for which words/terms this would be worthwhile, which is why I was hoping Copilot could provide me with a quick overview of repeating terms.

Thanks,

Merel

Method 1: Using Word's Find function
    1. Press Ctrl + F to open the search box.
    2. Type in the noun you want to count (e.g. book).
    3. Word will display “X matches” (i.e., the number of occurrences) in the lower left corner.

Method 2: Step-by-Step Query with Copilot
    1. First, let Copilot list all nouns:

    2. Enter: “List all nouns in this document.”

    3. Manually copy to Excel, with = COUNTIF statistics on the number of occurrences.

Method 3: Online word frequency statistics tool
    1. Copy all the text in Word (Ctrl + A → Ctrl + C).

    2. Paste it into Word Frequency Counter.

    3. Click “Analyze Text” to see the number of occurrences of all words.

      Hi Lauradosh ,

      Thanks!

Method 1 is nog really handy for me as I don't already have a list of the nouns.

I will try method 2 so as not to put our company data in an external application (method 3).

Many thanks again, pity though that Copilot cannot do this...

      Cheers,
