Learning more about AI and productivity tools
Welcome, Maya!👋 It's great to see someone coming at Copilot from the marketing side, because that's actually one of the areas where it really stands out.
A small tip from working with teams adopting Copilot: the people who get the most out of it aren't the ones who learn every feature. They're the ones who pick two or three tasks they do every week and let Copilot take the boring parts.
For marketing, that might be drafting first versions of campaign copy, summarising long reports into key points, or pulling themes out of customer feedback in Excel. Start narrow and it clicks much faster. Try to get those 1% wins and build on them progressively each day/month.
One thing that surprised a lot of people I've worked with: the quality of what you get back depends almost entirely on how you ask. A vague prompt gives vague results. The more context you give it, like who the audience is, the tone you want, and what good looks like, the better it gets. It's a bit like briefing a new intern. The clearer the brief, the better the work.
Feel free to ask questions as you go, happy to share what I've seen work in real rollouts!😃
