I have a friend who uses M365 chat and he has conversation (mic) available, he also have a option to schedule a prompt and actions option. So my question is why i dont have this option. we are paying lot of money to Microsoft but dont get the option they advertise.

Hi Shashi, this feature is still rolling out in M365 Chat and may not be available for all tenants yet. Copilot.com often gets new capabilities earlier. Also, ensure your browser has mic permissions enabled. Keep an eye on the Microsoft 365 roadmap or your admin center for updates on voice access availability.

Giving a heads-up here. :) It's coming up there and actually Microsoft 365 Copilot’s Advanced Voice experience is now available on iOS Insider Builds! So maybe it's coming quicker than you expect. ;)

This feature allows for real-time, natural conversations with your documents.

So I am trying to understand this, if you use a free product you get the really useful voice/mic button to have conversations with Copilot, but if you decide to drop hundred of dollars on a license for Copilot in your M365 Tenant you lose the ability to use the that feature? This doesnt make a lot of sense considering one is called Copilot and the other is M365 Copilot. I would love if Microsoft could provide a bit more insight here? Is there a way to still use the free copilot but log in with my M365 account and have my history saved etc. Dont get me wrong I love the Copilot integration but one of the biggest features of most of these LLM apps for phones is that you can just click a circle in the middle of the screen and talk to it.

Open Teams and tap the Chat icon on the left and make sure you've updated to the latest version, check license permissions by logging in to your Microsoft 365 account page to make sure your subscription includes Microsoft 365 Chat, and enterprise users should contact their administrators to enable Copilot in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, and you're good to go!

  • Currently, the mic feature is only available on copilot.microsoft.com, not in M365 Chat. The version at copilot.com is more like a personal assistant and supports voice input. But the M365 Chat you’re using is focused on work-related tasks and connecting to your files, emails, and calendar. It doesn’t support mic or voice chat yet. Hopefully, Microsoft adds it in the future.
