Copilot on Android
When attempting to open a password protected xlsm file through Copilot on my Android phone the file is disabled. When I open the file through the Onedrive app it opens properly in Copilot. The file is stored in Onedrive, not in the vault.
Is it because the file is an xlsm file or because it is password protected?

Hey! Are you still experiencing this?
It might be because Copilot on Android may not fully support macro-enabled files, especially if it relies on Excel Online preview or a limited mobile rendering engine.
Here is why it's probably working in OneDrive:
- OneDrive uses native app integration to open files in Excel Mobile, which has better support for .xlsm and password-protected files.
- Copilot, on the other hand, may be trying to preview or analyze the file without full Excel capabilities, leading to the file being disabled or blank.

Thanks Harry,
When attempting to open the file through CoPilot the file is greyed out (disabled) so it can't be opened, so your thought is probably correct. A bit frustrating as I would expect AI to be smart enough to handle such a simple problem.
