Copilot in OneNote cannot access content in sidebar (Microsoft 365 Premium)
Copilot recognizes the open OneNote page but cannot read even a new synced page, despite Premium and extensive repair work. Microsoft says eligible home subscribers can use Copilot in OneNote for Windows, with internet access and connected experiences enabled. Because fresh content also fails and support verified the license and installation, this looks more like account provisioning or a service-side context failure than corrupt notebook content. Confirm Connected experiences is enabled under Office privacy settings and that OneNote, OneDrive, and Copilot use the same Microsoft account. Create one plain-text page in a new OneDrive notebook, wait for sync, then invoke the on-canvas Summarize action. Record UTC time, OneNote build, page name, exact response, and any correlation identifier. Reopen the support case and request escalation for a Copilot-in-OneNote entitlement and context trace. Community members cannot route cases directly to engineering; Microsoft support is the accountable escalation path.
