Acquiring Office 365 Copilot for a University Educational Account
I am a PhD student at a Chilean university and I have free access to Office through this account. However, I cannot subscribe to Copilot Pro with this account because the option simply does not appear. Additionally, I am not sure what happens if I subscribe with a personal email. I imagine that Office and Copilot Pro must be on the same account to use Copilot integrated into Office apps, although I am not sure, so I would appreciate it if you could clarify this point. Besides this, I would like to know if there are any discounts for students on Copilot Pro.
Thank you in advance for your help. I look forward to your response

- Chris_FerraroSteel ContributorYou are correct, the subscription will only work with the data the account it is on for has access to. On the education side the tool would be Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- cristopherstepkeCopper ContributorCan I purchase that type of account individually, or does the university need to purchase it? Is there any way to use Copilot in Office 365 with my educational account? When I try to log in to see the Copilot payment plans, it says I can’t use an educational account and should use a personal one. But as you indicate, this way I would have to purchase Office regularly instead of using the one provided through my university email
- Chris_FerraroSteel ContributorIt would need to be purchased by the IT department or whoever manages the contract with Microsoft.
