Notification whe new sign in detected

I am not sure if this is the correct board.

Hello,

Is there a way to send notification to the user and/or their manager a notification when the user's account was used to login to any of the microsoft services from a new device or location?

this is available on our public or general use Gmail and other system.

Office 365 or Exchange or Azure AD or...

Thanks!

We need this for Azure AD sign ins, fairly common feature of other systems like the gmail and bank portals etc
  • No, no such functionality. You can use Alert policies/Defender for Cloud Apps alerts on any new login, but you cannot limit it to "new" devices/locations only. AAD Identity protection can fire up Risky alerts when a suspicious login is detected, but that again does not cover all "new" ones.
In most cases you should be able to address such concerns with a Conditional access policy/trusted network locations/MFA&device requirements combo.

thanks for your response. but i want the notification to be sent to the user who tried to login, not to an admin. With the alert policy, i assume we can only set it to a specific user or a group. is this correct?
