Replacement device iOS Apps

Hopefully an easy question to answer.

We have Apple devices registered in ABM and everyone is using a managed apple ID.  We are syncing both devices and Apps into Intune. Users have to download apps via the company portal app, not through the App store.

My old company iPhone broke so i received a replacement, however, i noticed a problem on my replacement iPhone.

I went through the setup, chose to restore from a backup held under my managed Apple ID. Once back on the home screen I logged into the company portal and went through the Intune enrolment all fine.  Problem is i have all my apps on my home screen but i can't open them, i get an option to keep or delete when i click them. I have to manually go into the company portal app and click the apps, after which it downloads and works fine. I've left it for several hours, wondering if there is a way for the apps to auto download onto my device i this scenario?

    Hi navs1699!

This is likely because the apps need to be re-triggered by the Company Portal to download properly, as you've experienced. Unfortunately, they don't automatically download as part of the restore process from the backup. You’re doing the right thing by going into the Company Portal app to manually install them. As far as I know, there isn't a way to force the automatic download after a backup restore, so it’s just a matter of manually triggering the re-install from the portal for now.

    Hope it helps!
