Intune /Ms Defender issues
Good Day All
Sorry if this has been asked before
Within our environment we have changed from X anti virus to Defender
currently have onboarded 554 devices on defender and they appear in Intune 100 % working and showing information
Issues is the remained of 165 devices shows on defender as Can be Onboarded
They don't show up on Intune
They are hybrid joined
we have the proper licensing
they show up on Entra
What can be the issue as policies are find cos we onboarded 554 with no issue
Any thoughts and help will be appreciated

It sounds like the remaining 165 devices that show up as "Can be Onboarded" on Defender may have issues related to their configuration or connectivity with Intune. Since they don't show up in Intune, check their hybrid Azure AD join status and ensure they are correctly registered in Azure AD and properly connected to the network. Verify that the devices have the necessary policies applied for device enrollment in Intune and that there are no pending updates or restarts on these devices that may be delaying the process. You may also want to check logs and event viewer on the devices for any error messages that can provide more insight into the issue.
- How are you onboarding the devices? If you are using Intune for it then the devices need to be enrolled in Intune first with the exception of security settings management feature.
