Test ADE on an unrestricted staging network with only the enrollment profile assigned, and temporarily set Await final configuration to No so a failed policy cannot lock the Mac in Setup Assistant. Microsoft confirms that this setting keeps users locked while Intune applies required configurations. Add policies back individually, starting with certificates, then Wi-Fi or wired 802.1X, then security tools, because a network profile applied before its certificate or NAC prerequisites can disconnect both interfaces. If the minimal enrollment succeeds, review the failing profile’s Intune status and run the Intune macOS enrollment diagnostic before wiping again.
