What is happening to Quick Edit?
Yes David Broussard, I could, but that just brings me to "classical" version. What when that is no longer available? And, it is a bit backwards crossing the stream to pick up water.... :-) The whole point about "Quick Edit" is what the name says... ;-)
- Yeah...I agree I didn't "like" that solution, just a workaround.
That it seems one needs four columns in the view for it to appear is really odd. Definitely a bug- It is strange, and have just tried a view with just the [Name] field in and it Quick Edit is there!
Yes Tanya Denton, looks like it....I created a brand new document Library, no Quick Edit menu. Edited the all document viewby removing two columns from view, then the Quick Edit menu shows....so 1st conclusion proven wrong, the 2nd conclusion seems to be that if a view is edited the first time, then the Quick Edit shows....strange....
And, yesteday when I discovered the missing Quick Edit, I had made new views...at least I believe so...

if We add List as Webpart in Modern UI Page, Quick edit option is not showing instead it is showing as standard View. any idea ??

Thanks for your feedback jcgonzalezmartin! I have checked both Team sites and Communication sites in Office 365 document libraries in several tenants and still I can't find it (and it did show in the grey bar above the documents in a document library previously).
Anyone; Bearing in mind that the error might be between the screen and the chair. How do I find the Quick Edit functionality for modern document Libraries?
You need to have editable columns to have quick edit option visible. Several things can make quick edit option hidden like grouping and issues with view etc. Hope it is solved now. Mine got solved when I removed grouping by metadata in library settings that I had put in.Merethe Stave
