User's contacts missing data
I have one user whose mailbox is on O365. For many of his contacts, the phone and/or email address is missing. He made no changes to the contacts that he is aware of. The contact name is still there, but no other data.
First, what could explain this? And second, what can be done to restore that data? As the contacts were not deleted, it seems that we need to revert to a previous version of his contacts list.

I have seen instances where Android Devices synced with the account will cause this. I would look into what o/s his mobile devices have and what version and then look into known issues or bugs. Likely it will end up being a sync issue from a mobile device. If you have access to eDiscovery - you can likely recover the contact data if it wasn't too long ago.
