SharePoint Online site stuck in provisioning state

Hi ,

I have an issue in my Office 365 tenant where a user tried to create a SharePoint Online site collection and its stuck in provisioning state . I'm aware that this is a known issue and I've seen some scenarios where it takes almost 24 hours to provision a site collection in SharePoint Online . Is there a way we can forcefully provision the site creation if the issue persists tomorrow as well ? Is there any PowerShell command or script to do that ? Please let me know

  • As Dean mentions it takes normally about 3 min have seen max of 15min but never 24 hour or hangs.

I think you will need to create a service request.

It has been my experience with this that the site just has to time out. Usually takes about a day for that to happen although I have seen it take 3 days. Once it does stop attempting to provision you will be allowed to delete it in the normal way.
