What is happening to Quick Edit?
One of the best functionalities in SharePoint document Libraries; the Quick Edit-tool is not there in modern document libraries. Why?
Please bring it back ASAP!
Yes David Broussard, I could, but that just brings me to "classical" version. What when that is no longer available? And, it is a bit backwards crossing the stream to pick up water.... :-) The whole point about "Quick Edit" is what the name says... ;-)
Yeah...I agree I didn't "like" that solution, just a workaround.

- It is strange, and have just tried a view with just the [Name] field in and it Quick Edit is there!
Yes Tanya Denton, looks like it....I created a brand new document Library, no Quick Edit menu. Edited the all document viewby removing two columns from view, then the Quick Edit menu shows....so 1st conclusion proven wrong, the 2nd conclusion seems to be that if a view is edited the first time, then the Quick Edit shows....strange....
And, yesteday when I discovered the missing Quick Edit, I had made new views...at least I believe so...
