Public computers caching emails
What you are describing is called conditional access. This allows one to apply criteria before access is granted. It's a great feature but it does require additional licencing. I believe you could say access to Exchange Online running on Windows/Mac with desktop apps is not allowed outside the company for example, though Outlook on the web could still be permitted. I am not aware of being able to control caching with this set of features.

Thank you so much for your swift and informative reply. I assume you mean the premium licensing option within Azure Active Directory? This is quite costly on top of Office 365 licensing costs already but according to the links you kindly sent, seems to do what we want it to do.
Only testing will know for sure I guess...
