Outlook issue referencing mapped Sharepoint library

First, I want to explain that mapping the SharePoint library to a network drive uses WebDav, an older technology which is slower and less reliable than https://support.office.com/en-us/article/sync-sharepoint-and-teams-files-with-the-onedrive-sync-app-6de9ede8-5b6e-4503-80b2-6190f3354a88?ui=en-US&rs=en-CA&ad=CA. The OneDrive sync client provides https://support.office.com/en-us/article/save-disk-space-with-onedrive-files-on-demand-for-windows-10-0e6860d3-d9f3-4971-b321-7092438fb38e?ui=en-US&rs=en-CA&ad=CA, which allows you to access all your files in OneDrive without using local storage space.

I did and that seems to be a good alternative for using WebDAV. I'm planning a PoC with several users and will be back sharing the results.
