Outlook Inbox transfer

I use Outlook on a WINDOWS 11 computer and have 2 email addresses from my ISP domain.  I have Outlook set up to automatically move my secondary email address inputs into my primary email addresses INBOX so i only have to open one INBOX.  I also have a third email (GMAIL) coming into Outlook.  I can’t find any way to have those emails automatically moved to the primary email INBOX.  My two ISP domain emails are coming in as POP/SMTP and the GMAIL comes in as IMAP.  Is there a way to have the GMAIL inputs transferred to my primary email INBOX automatically upon arrival?

  • How about this:

    1. Rules in Outlook

Set up an automatic rule to move incoming Gmail messages to your primary inbox:

    • Go to HomeRulesManage Rules & Alerts
    • Choose your Gmail account in the rule setup
    • Create a rule:
“Move messages from account [Gmail] → to folder [Inbox of primary account]”

Outlook won’t allow cross-account folder moves with IMAP accounts using traditional rules. But you might be able to move messages to a local PST file Inbox instead, which simulates your primary account.

    1. Use Gmail Forwarding

    • In Gmail (web), go to SettingsForwarding and POP/IMAP
    • Add your primary email address under Forwarding
    • Choose: Forward a copy of incoming mail to...
    • You can still keep a copy in Gmail too

    1. Create a Unified PST Inbox

    • Create a new Outlook Data File (.pst)
      (File → Account Settings → Data Files → Add…)
    • Use rules to move incoming Gmail messages into this PST file's Inbox
    • This gives you a single location to review all email,  regardless of account origin

Thank you.  I played around with it some more after I made my original post yesterday and discovered the forwarding solution.  After I saw your suggestions, I also tried the RULES option within Outlook.  It worked as well.  I'm going to use the rules option for now.  Thanks again.

The unified PST Inbox might be a bit of a challenge for my limited IT skills/knowledge, so I'm going to leave that one alone.  😁
