How about this:
- Rules in Outlook
Set up an automatic rule to move incoming Gmail messages to your primary inbox:
- Go to Home → Rules → Manage Rules & Alerts
- Choose your Gmail account in the rule setup
- Create a rule:
“Move messages from account [Gmail] → to folder [Inbox of primary account]”
Outlook won’t allow cross-account folder moves with IMAP accounts using traditional rules. But you might be able to move messages to a local PST file Inbox instead, which simulates your primary account.
- Use Gmail Forwarding
- In Gmail (web), go to Settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP
- Add your primary email address under Forwarding
- Choose: Forward a copy of incoming mail to...
- You can still keep a copy in Gmail too
- Create a Unified PST Inbox
- Create a new Outlook Data File (.pst)
(File → Account Settings → Data Files → Add…) - Use rules to move incoming Gmail messages into this PST file's Inbox
- This gives you a single location to review all email, regardless of account origin
