OneDrive - Tags / Labels
One of our folks has asked if OneDrive can be used to tag (label) documents (similar to Dropbox) and then searched by the document creator and/or folks the files have been granted access to the files...

As jcgonzalezmartin said, adding metadata in ODfB is in practice not supported anymore.
The logic behind this behavior appears to be that, since ODfB is for personal files, metadata are not much useful.
If you find that other people routinely need to use metadata for searching in some user's ODfB files shared with them, maybe you should consider using an SPO library instead.

Metadata are a fundamental part of SharePoint.
