Office 365 Outlook IMAP - Deleting e-mails does not remove them from server
I opened an IMAP account. I use Office 365 Outlook on my desktop and the Outlook App on my Android phone. When I delete e-mails on my phone, they disappear from the server. However, when I delete them on my desktop, they are only transferred to the Removed Items folder but not removed from the server and therefore re-appear on my phone.
Is this "as designed" or am I doing something wrong?

I am having the same problem. I wonder if any has a solution for the problem.

I am having the identical issue; there is no dialog box like there had been to remove the messages from the IMAP server when deleted in Outlook. I don't know if this was the intent with Outlook 365 or if it is a bug. Anyone else have the same issue?
For example, I can delete all my messages from within Outlook 365 on my PC, but the remain on the server and therefore show up on my phone, The only way I have been successful is deleting the messages from phone, happen to be using the Samsung email client on my S24. But they remain on the server when deleting from Outlook on the PC. I scoured the Outlook setting and cannot find any reference to removing messages from the server. Again, perhaps this is the intent from Microsoft with IMAP email accounts?
