Office 365 language inconsistency
The thing is that some applications have their own language settings, others use the browser or OS language settings. But yeah, there's definitely some space for improvement...

The people in France are running French Windows with French language settings.
In Chrome, Edge and IE (that run in the French language as well), the Sharepoint is in German.
Cache deleted. O365 License language/country switched and switched back. No effect.

SharePoint is a different beast altogether, sadly. Some of the SPO sites/pages use the "default" language that was used when the tenant was provisioned, but you should be able to turn on additional languages as detailed here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2883180/you-can-t-change-the-default-language-for-a-sharepoint-online-site-col
jcgonzalezmartin might be able to explain it better than me :)
- Feb 23, 2018:-)...you need to add support for French language at the ODFB configuration (same applies to any other SPO Site). These are the steps a user must follow in ODFB:
(1) Browse ODFB and clic on the Cog icon on the top bar
(2) Clic on Site Settings
(3) Clic on Language Settings under Site Administration
(4) Select French Language and clic OK
(5) (Optional) Sign Out from ODFB and Sing again. If everything goes well, the user should be the ODFB UX in French
For a SPO site the steps are similar.
