Feb 14, 2018Office 365 Audio Conferencing explained
We are in the middle of transitioning our on-premise Lync environment to Microsoft's Skype for Business.
I am confused as to setting up audio conferencing and Microsoft Bridge. Here are a few questions I'm stumped on.
1. How to obtain a toll-free number for dial in?
- We received a local phone number, but we would like to get a toll-free too. Attempting to setup from Skype Admin console, i get an error saying I needed consumption billing setup. Can't find any good documentation on what consumption billing is..
2. What is consumption billing?
3. Do I need a domestic calling plan to get toll-free phone number for dialing-in?
- I called MS support, and the rep seemed as clueless as I did. He did some research and concluded that a Domestic Calling Plan is required to get a toll-free phone number for dial-in. Which seemed odd. We arent dialing out
4. Communication credits?
- Would communication credits allow me to get the toll-free number?
5. Rates for using toll-free number?
Any other relevant information in regards to these topics would be helpful.
