O365 Groups without a Sp Site
Is it possible to have an office 365 group without a share point site?
No, whether created from Outlook, Teams, Yammer, PowerBI or anywhere else a group will have an associated team site. SharePoint provides the file storage used in all of these services, without it the other functionality would break.
You can create DLs, Mail Enabled Security Groups and Security Groups without a site.
