Migrating Office 365 tenant from a partner to Microsoft
Hello! I have a very big question about an Office 365 tenant. Currently my customer has a contract with a Microsoft Partner here in Argentina, but they want to change to a tenant managed by Microsoft.
Could someone tell me if it is possible change the “manager” of the tenant from a partner to Microsoft? Where can I find information about it? Will it be necessary get a new tenant from Microsoft and migrate the older one?
Thank you!
Hi Alberto,
If is a syndicate partner you have to do a Full Migration of the tenant.
You will need a new tenant with all licenses neded to do the migration.
Here is the process how to migrate email https://support.office.com/en-us/article/How-to-migrate-mailboxes-from-one-Office-365-tenant-to-another-65af7d77-3e79-44d4-9173-04fd991358b7?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US
- Well,
It depends on the country, in Spain we have Vodafone and Movistar (Telefónica) providing Office 365 as syndicate partners and they have started this year to moved all the customers they have under their syndicate platforms to CSP so customers can ask to move to another partner.
