Migrate office 365 E3 to Microsoft 365 Business
Hi
I am looking to upgrade a client from office 365 E3 licences to Microsoft 365 Business. Can I just replace the licenses and everything will work or do I need to uninstall office on all machines and reinstall office with the M365 Business license.
As in E3 licenses come with office Proplus and M365 Business comes with office business.
They use two different office apps

- I checked this +/- 1year ago and you will need to uninstall/install, as you said they have different apps.

Swapping the license will work for all online apps, but as mentioned above, you will have to reinstall Office due to the different SKU used.
VasilMichev- do you know if this is still the case ? Do you need to still remove and reinstall office ?
