Take the Exchange (Legacy) retention tags/policy. Keep in mind if mailboxes were imported in M365 they are under retentionhold & you have to disable it via powershell. Otherwise the mails are not moving automatically into EXO-Archive.
You can check it with:
Get-Mailbox | Select DisplayName,RetentionHoldEnabled,ElcProcessingDisabled
-> the two parameters need to be $false

- chrisslrothJun 27, 2024Brass Contributoredmundcheah1992 not tested yet, but i think so. Use the Exchange (legacy) policy to move the mails to archive. Use the M365 retention policy to retent mails or data.
