M365 backup responsibility
Hi, we understand from Microsoft shared responsibility model in SaaS that Data is customer responsibility and Microsoft replicates data as per availability zone /GRS requirements for failover reovery and availability SLA purposes. However retention and regular back up of critical regulatory compliance data, recovery from accidental deletion , ransomeware attack etc is is customer responsibility Is this correct , thanks in advance for your inputs . Yes, agree, according to Microsoft’s Shared Responsibility Model, Microsoft and the Microsoft 365 user share responsibility for securing the data on the platform. However, the user has sole responsibility for ensuring that this data is properly backed up with a third-party solution and can be recovered when needed.
