Import Contact List

I use Outlook for mac with a 365 email account with my domain name.  I am trying to set up a "Contact List".  This is not to confused with my list of contacts.  The is a distribution list.  This feature is only pin New Outlook.

I have the names and email addressed in CSV format.  I tried to import.  The results say "No records imported" or "failed to import".  I have tried it with and without column headers.  there name format is First Last.

Sugestions appreciated.

  • The “Contact List” (distribution list) functionality in New Outlook for Mac currently does not support importing members directly from a CSV file. As a result, attempts to import a CSV file will return errors such as “No records imported” or “Failed to import.” The import wizard is designed to handle individual contacts only, not distribution lists.

      Thanks for the reply.

Another question if you don't mind.  Do you have a suggestion for how to get the name tom show when adding a name to the list that is not in my 365 contacts?  Does that make sense?
