- Adjust Window Position and Close Properly:
- Open an email or reply to an email to pop it out.
- Drag the window to your desired position (bottom left corner).
- Close the window using the "X" button while it is in the desired position. This can sometimes help Outlook remember the window position.
- Modify Outlook Settings:
- Open Outlook and go to File > Options > Mail.
- Scroll down to the Replies and Forwards section.
- Ensure that the option Open replies and forwards in a new window is checked.
- Click OK to save the changes.
- Registry Edit (Advanced):
- If the above steps don't work, you might need to edit the Windows Registry. This is more advanced and should be done carefully:
- Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\<version>\Outlook\Preferences.
- Look for keys related to window positions (e.g., WindowPos).
- Adjust the values to set the desired position. (Note: Make sure to back up the registry before making any changes.)
- Reset Outlook View Settings:
- Sometimes resetting the view settings can help:
- Open Outlook.
- Go to View > Reset View.
