Group Memberships when migrating domains with O365

Our situation is we have our old domain in Forest “A” and a new domain we are migrating to in Forest “B” but we only have one Office 365 tenancy, so when we migrate a user we want to keep their group memberships intact so they don’t miss emails, etc. Has anyone done this and have any advice on how to gracefully handle this?
