Font with Contextual Alternatives in Word
Hi Chris,
I'm working on a mac (but i have the same problem on pc). I've installed the font in FontBook. The example text in FontBook looks good, just as it should be. we're using a word356 standalone (no web-word) the font is installed on all macs and pc's we've tested. it feels like word isn't processing the contextual alternatives right. But if i needed 1 program to process it right it should be this one. But for now it's only one that gives issues with the font.
As an attachement i've included a printscreen of my fontbook with the example text loaded and the wordfile with the same text.
There are a few things I would ask before raising this to Microsoft Support
1.) Have you done a removal and reinstall of the font?
2.) Does the issue occur on multiple machines or just your own?
3.) What version of Word are you using?
4.) Do you have the ability to test in Word Online (through your Office 365 subscription) since you have installed the font on the machines?
It seems you have done everything correct including enabling contextual alternatives in Word itself.
Best, Chris

Hi Chris
1.) yes
2.) multiple machines PC and MAC
3.) Microsoft Word for mac version 16.21 (190115) and Microsoft Word for PC Version1812
4.) I'm not able to switch the Contexual alternates on in Word Online. (I don't have the option to select it or i can't seem t o find it)

Thanks. So its happening across multiple machines even with a reinstall. Final thing. You should be able to see the font in Word Online as you have installed it in the machines using it. Does it look, in Word Online, like it does in the locally installed version of Word.
If it does, I would recommend raising it to support so the Team can look at the font and try to replicate it there. May very well be a bug.
