Following documents in modern experience document libraries?

Does anyone know if the " Follow" option will be added to the modern experience libraries. It's not available as an option right now, but it's not been announced that this functionality will be removed completely.

    I'm also interested in the reply. 

     

    Currently here are 2 follow/favourite documents features.

    First you access in classic experience More -> Follow - that will surface on you 'MySite' Docs I'm following - personally I think this is leftover from on-prem 2013 and that will go away, because

     

    The second - is Delve favorite documents, however here you can only 'follow' documents that appears in Delve. :(

    Both are complemented with Follow site feature acessible in sites however surfaced on a third place

     

    So, kind of a mess here. Would it be possible to give us some advice what to use and what not. I would very much appreciate some strategy here. May be question for the 'grandfather' :) Jeff_Teper

     

    Another option would be to use custom extensions in Graph to store such a info, or make some custom REST service accepting URL of favorite based on user , but I think it would be great to use build-in functionality but it must be consistent.
